When Life Gets In The Way...And Maybe A Farewell

Hello everyone. This is going to be an update post on what has been happening and for things to be coming in the near future. I have noticed today that my blog is getting slandered on twitter for the whole giveaway that I had during my birthday month. What I am doing now is going to let you all know what I have been dealing with for the past two months. Number 1: Right after I chose my winners, I found out that my boyfriend was leaving in two weeks for six months with limited contact and not being able to visit. So I took those two weeks and spent all my time with him since I wasn't going to be seeing him until November. Number 2: Then I was on the book depository to order the books and have them shipped to my winners and I sent the order in with my credit card and it never went through. So I spent the next two weeks trying to figure out what was going on with my credit card and to fix it so that I could order the books and get them sent out. So then I tried using paypal but for some reason if I used the paypal it was just going to ship to my house and I couldn't figure out how to change it to ship to a different address. Number 3: Two of my best friends and their little girl got into a horrific car accident at the beginning of June. One of them nearly died. So then that was yet another hiatus. I was off to the hospital almost every day for her and her fiancee and 2 year old little girl. She had three surgeries because her femur was shattered, her upper arm was shattered, she had a huge gash on her forehead, her forehead now has a metal plate and they had to do facial surgery so her eye didn't sink in because the bone beneath her eye was shattered. She has some nerve damage and she's in a wheelchair for the next 3 months and then after that she starts rehab and in December she will be *hopefully* walking down the aisle for her wedding. So I have been helping her out as much as I possibly can. And on top of everything that has been happening, I have been working a lot and been going through a lot of personal battles. But with one of the winners I did send out their books through The Book Depository on June 25 it has been nearly 2 weeks since then and I do not know why she hasn't gotten her books yet. So, I'm not sure if I will be using The Book Depository anymore.

I do apologize for everything. I have contacted the winners of that giveaway and everything is getting straightened out. I just wanted to let all of you know what was going on because I'm not usually late with anything. I hope you all can forgive me and that you all will continue to be friends and followers. I am finally getting back in the swing of things. However, I am not sure how much longer I will be doing this. I don't like things being talked about me and people thinking that I am lying because there's not a lying bone in my body. If no one wants to believe me about my friend being in the hospital, fine, don't. I might still post reviews every so often. I will still participate in the tours that I am scheduled in and my Road Trip Event, but who knows what else.

So since I was just able to start reading again here's what's next. Well, I just started Megan Bostic's Never Eighteen and will be finishing that this weekend and posting a review of her book as well as an interview from her on Monday. Tomorrow, I will be posting another Blog To Talk About interview, so keep on the lookout for that.

Coming up this month:

-This month I will be doing my Road Trip Event. Megan Bostic will be the first feature. But I will also be featuring: Kirsten Hubbard, Catherine Ryan Hyde, Jessi Kirby, and Hannah Harrington. I will be reading one of their books that is about a road trip and I have interviews from all of them. If I get a chance to read more Road Trip books I will also feature them and review them.

-I have quite a few tours coming up as well.
